WAAM Ti-47553: Why It’s Anisotropic

WAAM Ti-47553 refers to the titanium alloy Ti-4.7Al-5.5V-3Cr-0.5Mo (often abbreviated Ti-47553) produced using Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM).
It is considered anisotropic because its mechanical and microstructural properties vary with direction (build direction vs. deposition direction), rather than being uniform in all directions.
